Company Profile
Based in Taunton, Mountstephens Electrical is a family-run electrical contracting business with deep roots in the South West and a reputation built on trust, quality, and long-standing relationships. Established in April 1976 by Terry Mountstephens, the business has grown steadily over the past five decades while staying true to our core values—delivering reliable workmanship and a service that stands the test of time.
In 2008, Andrew Mountstephens joined the company as a partner, bringing the next generation into the business. The company was incorporated as a limited company in June 2016, with Terry and Andrew as Directors. In 2012, Katie Mountstephens joined the team, playing a key role in managing the business as Bookkeeper and Office Manager before becoming a Director in 2022.
Today, we are proud to be a truly family-led company—one that continues to evolve while staying grounded in the values it was built on. In summer 2026, the next chapter begins as Silas Mountstephens joins the business as an apprentice, becoming the third generation of the family to carry the name forward.

Our Directors
Andrew Mountstephens
Andrew joined the company in 2008 as an apprentice, following in the footsteps of his father, Terry. Since then, Andrew has developed through the company to become a fully qualified electrician and Director of the family-run business.
Katie Mountstephens
Katie is the Office Manager and plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the business. Supporting both the office and operational side of the company, Katie helps ensure projects, communications, and administration run smoothly and efficiently.

ElectricianMarcus is a fully qualified electrician and qualified supervisor, the industrial specialist, who has worked for Mountstephens Electrical for over 20 years.
Damon
ElectricianDamon is a highly experienced electrician with over 30 years hands-on experience and who has worked for Mountstephens Electrical for nearly 20 years.
Silas
Apprentice ElectricianSilas, Andrew and Katie’s son, is the new apprentice and hopefully the future of the business.
