Community Upgrade
St Mary’s Church, East Chinnock
We were pleased to support an improvement project at St Mary’s Church in East Chinnock, delivering electrical installation works as part of a wider project to enhance the building’s usability and accessibility for the local community.
Project Overview
This project formed part of an exciting upgrade that included the addition of a new accessible WC and servery area. Working closely with George, Will, and the team at The Wessex Conservation Company, the focus was on introducing modern electrical systems while respecting the historic character of the church.
What We Delivered
- Installation of a new 40A sub-main to supply a dedicated distribution board in the servery
- Replacement fire-rated consumer unit with integrated surge protection at the origin
- Electrical supplies for water heating and refrigeration
- Installation of sockets within the servery area
- Accessible WC alarm system for enhanced safety
- Heating provision for the WC
- New lighting installations in both the servery and WC areas
- Extractor fan installation for ventilation
The Result
The upgraded facilities have significantly improved the functionality of the church, enabling it to better serve the needs of the local community. With modern, safe, and reliable electrical systems in place, the space can now support a wider range of activities, meetings, and events.
